Political Engagement of Chinese International Students in Anglophone Academia

We aim to investigate whether there has been a shift in political consciousness around alignments with the establishment politics of their host countries, solidarity with other social movements and political causes, and structures of advocacy amongst Chinese international students in US and UK educational institutions. Extending from this, we ask how Chinese international students negotiate their discourse on Chinese politics with the US establishment discourse and left-wing critical discourse when operating in the Western university space.
